The Lego House in Billund

Viking Kings’ Home in Jelling
In the tenth century, King Harald Bluetooth erected a rune stone in Jelling, marking the name Denmark. This same king claimed to have conquered Norway and introduced Christianity to Denmark. He also built two barrows and a church nearby, creating what’s now known as the Jelling Monuments, Europe’s best-preserved Viking landmarks. These became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994. The Kongernes Jelling Visitor and Experience Centre enhances the exploration with interactive displays, providing a deep insight into Viking life.
Medieval Castle in Kolding
Koldinghus, the medieval castle in Kolding, is known for its remarkable restoration. Once a ruin, it is now a historical journey showcasing Denmark’s most important castle. It’s part of the Royal Danish Collection, which also includes Copenhagen’s Rosenborg and Amalienborg castles. Visitors can explore walkways that use special pillars to support the roof, preserving the ancient walls.
